Romantic Beach Dates for your Vacation

Can I just go back to Riviera Maya? Kale and I had the best time on vacation with Kale a few weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about it! My head is definitely at the beach still, and on all of our romantic beach dates! While the entire trip was essentially one big 6 day long date, we did take a few moments to really celebrate being there with each other. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort (read about that here) called The Occidental at Xcaret Destination in Riviera Maya, Mexico. While the resort was all-inclusive, and we went on a few excursions (read about those here), we wanted to include a few special experiences to really relax and enjoy our trip with each other.

What to do in Riviera Maya

Last week I talked all about our fantastic vacation to Riviera Maya and our resort. For most of our stay we enjoyed the resort, pool and beach, but we did leave a few times. For those of you who want a little variety in your stay, or are not staying at an all-inclusive, we loved these trips outside our resort and exploring Riviera Maya.

  • 4 Reasons to Stay at an All-Inclusive Resort: A Mexico Vacation

It’s only been a few days since we got back from Riviera Maya, but I am already planning a trip back! It was absolutely amazing! Growing up I went on vacation with my family each year, and we never tried an all-inclusive resort. For our trip, we decided it was a good idea since we didn’t know the area, and figured we’d mostly be at the pool or beach eating and drinking all week. We stayed at The Occidental at Xcaret Destination, an all-inclusive resort. The property was massive and so beautiful! It was right on the water, with several restaurants, pools, and beaches areas, plus all of the amenities a regular hotel would have, like the spa, gym, and activities.

    Living The Kalon Life

I always judge a workout by how sore I am the next day. With Kami, from The Kalon Life, I felt it that night! We met at the Katy Trail for an outdoor workout in the beautiful Dallas spring weather. (It was actually a little hot since it his mid 80s that day!) I’m not much of a gym person, so she said we could meet wherever I felt most comfortable! She kicked my butt a little, but that’s exactly what I want in a trainer. Nothing we did was groundbreaking, it just takes someone to spell it out for you sometimes!

  • Daily Moisture Renewal

    Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal

Let’s talk about something really important today: my hair. Just kidding, my hair is probably not that important to anyone but me, but in all honesty, it should be! No, not my hair per se, but what I use to take care of it. My hair is something that makes me confident and its something I love about myself. We all have those things, don’t we? So taking care of it is really important to maintaining that confidence. That’s why, when Pantene reached out about their new shampoos, they sent me the Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner. I was so excited to try it! Aside from Priyanka Chopra being their Gobal Bramd Ambassador, (because I love Quantico, anyone else a fan?) the name Daily Moisture Renewal really just says it all!

Glamping with Pets- Cedar Creek Lake

A couple of weeks ago, Kale and I decided to take our dogs and go away for a weekend. When I first brought up the idea of glamping, Kale had no idea what I was talking about. When I explained we would head to a cabin with Elie and Mia (my dogs) and Pierre (his dog) he was on board! Glamping with Pets provided me with a gift card, and we decided on a short weekend trip.

  • 24 Hours in Austin, TX for a Wedding

Last weekend, Kale and I went to Austin, TX for a wedding. We had an amazing time, and enjoyed our short trip! We arrived with an hour to get ready and jump on the shuttle to the ceremony, so there wasn’t much time to explore beforehand. Once we were on the bus we were shuttled about ten minutes to Pecan Springs Ranch. This venue was gorgeous and perfect for an outdoor country wedding. There was a cute little house for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready, an adorable area for the ceremony in front of an outdoor fireplace, and an entire open yard lit up with gorgeous string lights! There was an adorable photo-area in front of the “Love Shack” with the lit up LOVE sign, and outdoor seating for the perfect Austin, TX night we had! They also had the yard equipped with corn hole and giant Jenga so we could watch the sunset and play games before going in to dance the night away!
