Happy Hump day! It’s been so beautiful here with 70-80 degree weather, so I’m breaking out the shorts, sandals, and my new big sleeves and bows top from SheIn! I love this look so much because it’s light, airy, and so trendy and cute. The bows are pretty much my favorite, because if you know anything about me, you know I love bows! While I’m not a super girly girl, bows, bell sleeves and ruffles are really fun for this season!
I am beyond thrilled with this beautiful spring weather we’ve been having. It makes me want to pull out all of my pretty bright dresses and skirts! This blue ombre dress recently found its way into my closet thanks to Majestii Clothing. It is light, airy, and the color that has been flooding my closet this season, blue! I’m not even sure how it happened, but I am now a blue person, and I find myself gravitating towards it for spring over my usual grey tones. It’s got to be the weather and my excitement for vacation!
I have already expressed my love for one shoulder ruffle tops and stripes, so now that it’s getting even warmer out, I’m loving them even more! How cute is this striped one shoulder top from Nordstrom? I mean, seriously it’s got the ruffle, stripes, and of course, the cutest style of the moment. This one shoulder ruffle top is perfect for a drink at the Standard Pour, which happens to be right on the other side of the LiketoKnow.it He(art) wall! By the way, how adorable is it?! I am so excited this wall will be here in Dallas all summer, so expect to see much more of it on Running in Heels!
A couple of weeks ago, I wore this jumpsuit to my first wedding. Since then you have all been loving this striped jumpsuit every time I post it! I mean, I don’t blame you, it’s so cute, comfy, and when it is under $30, how can you go wrong? We know I’m into black and white, but I did try to spice this look up with fun earrings!
Confession: I have an obsession with pom poms! I saw this shirt and fell in love with it! I mean, how cute is this little tank with pom poms?! The shirt itself is so soft and a really thin and light material for summer. I wore it while we were in Austin, and you’ll probably be seeing much more of it for my coming trips!
Last weekend, Kale and I went to Austin, TX for a wedding. We had an amazing time, and enjoyed our short trip! We arrived with an hour to get ready and jump on the shuttle to the ceremony, so there wasn’t much time to explore beforehand. Once we were on the bus we were shuttled about ten minutes to Pecan Springs Ranch. This venue was gorgeous and perfect for an outdoor country wedding. There was a cute little house for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready, an adorable area for the ceremony in front of an outdoor fireplace, and an entire open yard lit up with gorgeous string lights! There was an adorable photo-area in front of the “Love Shack” with the lit up LOVE sign, and outdoor seating for the perfect Austin, TX night we had! They also had the yard equipped with corn hole and giant Jenga so we could watch the sunset and play games before going in to dance the night away!
Hi Friends! We had the best weekend in Austin for the wedding! Keep an eye out for a full post on our short trip this week! This week will be so crazy but in the best way! It’s Dallas Startup Week and there are a few fun events that I’ll be attending! I’m not entirely sure what I’ll wear yet, but I have a feeling it will include ruffles, quite possible this one shoulder ruffle top! I’ve been picking them up left and right for the spring and I can’t help but love them!
I have to be completely honest with you: I have never liked the cold shoulder look. I know, it’s everywhere and it’s been around for years now, but I have actually kind of hated it. Something about it looks unfinished! However, when the off the shoulder trend came around, (which I thought would replace it, but I was clearly wrong) I loved this pretty alternative! I like the look better because it’s distinct. On or off. And I’m all about it being off the shoulder, especially this ruffle off the shoulder dress! This pretty ruffle off the shoulder dress is perfect for a fun spring day, dinner, or even work with jeans to run errands! It’s light, easy, and comfy, perfect for a Dallas spring/summer!
Fun fact about me, I’ve never been to a wedding. Ok I may have gone to a wedding when I was about 5 or 6, but all I remember was my sister who was supposed to be the flower girl bursting into tears at the front of the aisle in front of everyone. Needless to say my style has changed a bit since then, and I have 4 weddings on the calendar for this season, I thought I’d do a few posts on what I’m planning to wear to them. So for my second wedding guest dress option, I chose a fitted light pink dress with an edgy zipper up the back!
I’m someone who is always motivated by new clothes, so when I made a goal to work out more, I thought new activewear clothes would help me so much in my commitment! Ha! While I have still been struggling to work out more, I look great sitting on my couch!
