Feeling Adult-Ish

Most of the time, I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing, but every so often, I give myself a pat on the back because I realize I had a total adult moment. It’s usually the small things, like paying a bill, booking a trip, or just doing something ridiculous because I want to. Then other times, I’ll have a moment when something happens and I feel like I need to ask my parents what to do. This is where I feel adult-ish. Where if I have to, I can solve my problem on my own, but the reality is I don’t want to. I’m not the best at asking for help, but when I realize I need it, it’s my parents I usually go to.

So, I’ve been an adult (or adult-ish) for a couple of years now, and I think I’m doing alright. A huge perk of being an adult is my dogs. I was never allowed to have one until I moved out of my parent’s house, so four days after I moved to Dallas, I got my first dog, Elie. She was so great, I got Mia a little over a year later. My family is wondering if it’s a yearly thing now, ha!

I’m always down for a gray t-shirt, my closet is full of them! When I saw this one at one of the pop-up-shops at Dallas Fashion X, I felt like I had to grab it! It’s so descriptive of where I am in my life now, adult-ish, kind of adult, kind of have no idea what I’m doing. This is a weekend look for me. I usually need a casual but cute outfit to run errands or meet up with friends in. Plus the gray and black color scheme is my go-to from October to April. Dark colors just go well with colder weather!

I love the tee! Great post too! Even though I am 29 I still feel like I am balancing between being an adult and feeling like a teenager! LOL I always ask my parents for advice in certain situations!

    Happy Thursday!

  4. Can TOTALLY relate to the “adult-ish” thing… Saw this shirt online the other day and am still considering buying it. The early 20’s are hard…what can I say. You’re not alone!

I got a dog as soon as I moved out too! I feel very adult when I’m in dog mom mode. I feel most adult when I decide I can have ice cream for dinner and no one can say no!

  9. Ah, well I’m 39 so I’m supposed to be a full fledged adult but I REALLY don’t feel like being one most of the time so I think I need to invest in that shirt.

  10. This is so perfect! lol. And I am totally on the same page with the dogs! For the first three years of our marriage we brought home a new dog every year.. Yes we have 3 dogs and they are all very large lol. But it’s such an adult feeling since I was never allowed to have dogs growing up either!
