An Alternative Option for VDay

To be completely honest, I’m already over Valentine’s Day. In my last post I wrote about actually loving the day and what it stands for, but the flip side of VDay, is the over-commercialization of it all. I mean, Bloggers (like me) have been posting about VDay for more than 2 weeks now, trying to get you prepared, and really, I’ve seen more guft guides and red dresses than I know what to do with. So here’s my alternative option for VDay. A purple dress with edgy styling.

I like to mix things up a bit and if you look in my coat closet you’ll find that it’s at least half leather/faux leather. So what better way to mix it up than with an edgy alternative option for VDay. If I wear a dress when it’s cold out, you better believe I’m also wearing tights.  We’ve already determined I’m not fit for the cold anymore, so they are definitely a must! Another piece of my edgy look are my earrings. They are so cool, I get compliments every time I wear them. Two words: gold leather. Thanks to Ayla Jane Designs, my earrings and jewelry in general are a thousand times better than before and so much better than something I’d find in a department store. (I’ve told you many times how awful my jewelry collection was.)
