Arizona Girls Trip

Saguaro Natinoal Park for Arizona girls trip

Arizona is such a great place for a girls’ trip. I’ve been on several trips to a few different areas in the state, and thought it was time to write about them! Most recently I met my sister and a few friends last spring for hiking and the start of Taylor Swift’s Era’s tour! We planned a fun girl’s weekend packed full of activities, I’ll share our itinerary and my favorite activities below!

I’ve been to Arizona in the summer and in the spring. Summer is unbearably hot and it is hard to partake in certain activities like hiking during the daytime, but March was great mild spring weather. If you visit in the summer, you can visit some of the amazing spas and resorts. Of course, my favorite way to see a new city is to walk, eat, and drink my way through! Keep reading for my guide to an Arizona girls trip!

Arizona Girls Trip

Girls’ trips are the best. You all pile into rooms at a hotel or Airbnb, all trying to get ready in too-small bathrooms while fighting for mirror space, yet somehow, you all come out looking fabulous and closer than ever.

I’ve been to Scottsdale and Phoenix as well as traveled around while in the area. Both are so fun and unique places to visit, so no matter where you choose you are close to so many great activities to please everyone you are with.

Things To Do In Arizona For A Girls Trip

Hiking Camelback Mountain

I’m not a big hiker in general, but in the few times in my life that I’ve been hiking, it’s been in Arizona. The first time I went, I hiked Camelback Mountain in the sonoran desert with a friend. We didn’t summit the top because we weren’t in full hiking gear and it is a challenging trail, and also it was the middle of summer and the sun was getting quite hot. However this is a great hike for those who can do it!

Saguaro National Park

This most recent trip We ventured over to Saguaro National Park and hiked there. This was a faily easy trail, without much elevation. Just keep an eye out for critters and of course cactus prickers! In March, it was actually pretty warm with the sun, we started out with jackets but all ended up taking them off later on.

Shopping at Fashion Square

Arizona has great shopping, so don’t miss a chance to stop at Scottsdale Fashion Square. This beautiful mall has tons of stores from luxury brands like Dior to your usual Abercrombie and Madewell. You won’t be far from Fashion Square anywhere around downtown Scottsdale.

Sedona National Park

When I was in Arizona last year, we also went to Sedona for a hike. We enjoyed the beautiful views and a medium-challenging hike. You can avoid the more challenging parts depending on what trail you choose. This in contrast to Saguaro, was really cold, and we were not fully prepared for the complete change in weather going a few hours north! If you come in the spring be prepared with layers!

Brunch at Palma Phoenix

We found Palma on Instagram, and it was such a cute place with great food! We enjoyed a nice brunch outside one morning, it was such a fun spot with great atmosphere. Of course we had mimosas and enjoyed sweet potato yummy fries for staters!

Walk Down Roosevelt Row

After brunch at Palma we walked around Roosevelt Row and saw some cool street vendors selling things from jewelry to clothing to art. There were tons of people out and about downtown, so this was a fun way to spend the early-afternoon before we went to the concert.

Hang out at The Churchill

As we were wandering around downtown we heard live music and stopped inside The Churchill. We walked into an open area surrounded by shops and stands selling food, drinks, clothing, and more. We stayed and listened to music and grabbed a cocktail from So Far So Good. This is a great place for happy hour to enjoy some live music and friends!

Scottsdale Wine Trail

If you and your girls love wine, definitely make a stop on the Scottsdale Wine Trail! This is an informal, self-guided tour of Old Towne Scottsdale wine tasting rooms. You can even grab a passport to get discounts at all of the participating locations. All of the wineries on the trail are within walking distance.

Desert Botanical Gardens

The Desert Botanical Gardens are a beautiful way to spend an afternoon with your girlfriends. They have events like music and different exhibits in the seasons like a butterfly exhibit and cactus clubhouse.

Hot Air Balloon Ride

There are a ton of great ways to see the views around Arizona, but one of the most unique ways may be a hot air balloon ride either at sunrise or sunset. Grab your girlfriends and book this unique experience and enjoy!

Resort Spa Day at FS Scottsdale

Unfortunately I haven’t had the pleasure of a spa day at the Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort, but I have been on the property and it is stunning. The surrounding areas and golf course are views to take in, and the resort itself seems nothing short of amazing. It is on my list for next time to book a spa day here with the girls!

Golf

If you are a golfer, Arizona is the place to go! I’m not a big golfer, but my husband has several Arizona golf courses on his bucket list. If you and your girls are golfers, try out these courses!
