Basics are my favorite thing to buy at a sale like this! When they’re normally full price most of the year, or the weird colors end up going on sale at the end of the season, you’re forced to pay full price for the whites, grays, blacks in sweaters, tees, and for the normal non-embellished or trendy-cut jeans! Below, I’m sharing the best basics to buy at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale now while they’re here!
I know the first few days of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale were crazy, but here’s hoping they’re restocked and re-evaluated their website and are prepped for Public Access this Friday. To be honest it probably crashed because of crazy people like me who placed 6 separate orders… anyways. Here are the best basics to grab in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
Side Note: I know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is crazy and all over social media, but I can promise you, you’ll never hear me say that you “need” anything. Shopping this sale is fun for a lot of people but I’ve read and heard a lot about others feeling like they’re missing out because they can’t or shouldn’t shop. These are just my suggestions because it’s my job to post about sales like this so I make money and can support myself and my dogs. If you do shop, I hope you use my links because I make a small commission from your purchases!
Basics to Buy at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
If you’ve scrolled through instagram in the last year and follow any blogger at all, you’ve probably realized that cardigans are super popular in the fall-spring and then for a brief stint in July when we all lose our minds and shoot sweaters outside in 100 degree heat. They’re still super popular, so grab a good basic gray, black, or cream while you’re shopping.
I talked on my Instagram stories about the jeans I picked up. While still not inexpensive, I don’t buy jeans often (once a year, if that), so I do prefer to get them on sale. My favorites from the sale at AG and DL1961.
Spanx leggings are a part of the sale. This is not a drill! As of my writing this, they are fully in stock, so grab them now at $65 instead of $90 later! These are the most popular leggings I’ve seen, and are supposed to be amazing. I grabbed two styles! Also I told you all about the Zella leggings I bought in every color in my last post. If you haven’t grabbed them yet, do it now!
This Thread & Supply pullover sells out every time it’s available. I tried it on in-store and bought my size and color online so I didn’t miss out this time! It’s now $53 but regularly $78. I also saw these pants and just had to try them out! Being someone who lives in comfy clothes now, these will be amazing work at home pants. They are the comfiest and softest pants I’ve tried in a while and I can’t wait to wear them when it gets cooler out!
My favorite layering piece, and just plain top in the summer. There are tons of cute options, but the good basic colors are going quick. My favorites are the classic lace cami and the mesh inset one! The lace up WAYF camis are gorgeous but a little less of a basic in my opinion.
Hello $11 t-shirts! I ordered this tee online and while it’s thin, it is actually a great tee and super soft! Personally I go through t-shirts pretty quickly, especially white ones, so I think I’m ok with that.
