I am a big fan of Express for workwear, date night outfits, and everything in between. If you follow me on Instagram you may know that I am an Express Ambassador and work with them to share their new styles each month. Below I’m sharing my top Express picks for the end of the summer outfits to wear at home, to work, and to date night whether at home or going out!
Everyday End of Summer Outfits from Express:
Leggings with Pockets
If you watched my Instagram stories where I talk about this end of summer outfit, I go on and on about my excitement for these leggings and their pockets. They are a game-changer! No more stuffing my phone, keys, and wallet in my waistband to walk the dogs or grab coffee! This is a big deal. I will buy more! I ordered size XS.
Also, this tank is the perfect layering piece for your end of summer outfits. It’s a thicker ribbed material like a light sweater, but it isn’t too hot. It’s such a great layering piece for under sweaters or blazers now or throughout the fall. I ordered size XS.
These shoes are not from Express, but relevant because there is an almost identical style in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I talk about them here, in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Shoe Guide. These run TTS.
I’m a big fan of pleats, so when I saw this top I had to grab it! The white is a bit transparent, so I would recommend a camisole underneath, but it also comes in four other colors! I really love this style and despite how wide as it is, it really lays nicely and shows your shape still! I ordered a size XS.
These Wide Leg Satin Pants
I’m not a big fan of navy, but I am a huge fan of these pants. I didn’t realize they were navy, but I’m so happy I accidentally ordered them, because they are so comfortable! The satin is matte, so not super shiney which is a good thing in my opinion. That might be too flashy for an office where one would expect to be seen wearing these pants. The fit is really comfortable. They are not super stretchy, but the fabric does have some give. I will note that they were tighter around my hips/bum area, so if you have a larger bum, I recommend to size up, though if you also have a small waist you may need to have them taken in if you do.
I’m 5’5″ but have longer legs, these pants were high waisted and are the perfect length with 3-4in heels. I ordered a 00.
I have this cami in tons of colors. It’s a great layering piece or worn on its own. They have adjustable straps to wear with different styles and bras, as well. I wear size XS, but could probably get away with XXS. Here are more colors in a similar style.
I now own these pants in both colors because I could not resist! They are so comfortable and look so chic! I’m loving all of the satin styles this year, and I just couldn’t let these joggers pass me by! The paper bag waist sits at my natural waist and the length goes down to my ankles. Sometimes I roll them up to crop a bit, depending on the outfit. I ordered size XS.
These denim shorts are one of my most-worn pieces of the summer! I love the length. They are mom shorts so they are high waisted, but still have a couple-inch inseam so they don’t ride up!
I am obsessed with my unlined jacket! It is the best summer jacket to throw on with shorts to cover up in the A/C. I also think it looks amazing for fall. This cargo style will follow through the season!
Dolman Sleeve Top
I can’t tell you how comfortable this top is! The material is so soft! It’s mixed-media, so satin and modal-type material, though that does mean it’s thinner. Just be sure with the white to wear a nude bra!
This satin tee comes in so many colors (more colors here), which is great because you’ll want them all! I have so many outfits planned with this top, from casual with jeans, work pants, under a blazer, or even a sweater! It isn’t stretchy, but has a closure at the neck and runs true to size.
Ripped Mom Jeans
I snagged these jeans on sale and love how comfortable they are. I’ve already worn them so many times because they are so cute and easy to grab and pair with anything. They are a little distressed with the one ear at the knee and other small spots of rips.
Tie Dye Mask
When the pandemic started I was super against buying masks for a few reasons. First being I could make them, and I was convinced we wouldn’t need them long enough to spend a cent on. Second, I didn’t want anyone to profit off of such a terrible time. Now I’ve changed my tune and have been slowly adding some purchased masks to my mix. This one is my favorite! I love black and white tie-dye!
Sleeveless Belted Waterfall Vest
This vest was an awesome statement piece I had to grab for the Fall! I styled it here with shorts because I couldn’t help be wear it as soon as I got it in!
Pleated Shoulder V-Neck Tank
I could wear only black tank tops for the rest of my life and be happy. They come in so many styles and shapes there is so much imagination and creativity in styling them! This one, while hidden by the vest, has pleats on the shoulders for a draped effect on the front.
Black Jean Shorts
These shorts are similar to the mom jean shorts above, but I actually think I like them better. The bottoms of the shorts are rolled and they are also high waisted. The denim is super stretchy, and love pairing them with everything!
Snakeskin Midi Dress
I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this dress because I don’t always do midi dresses. However, I LOVE this one because it’s super lightweight, a cotton material, so casual and very casual and easy to style. I have worn it with adidas and a denim jacket and also dressed it up as above with wedges!
Embellished Scoop Neck Tank Top
I love a little sparkle and glamour in my outfits! I saw this fun sheer tank with beads and sequins and absolutely love how fun it is! I paired it with these tan linen shorts because I loved the romantic neutral style. I also am wearing a cami underneath because the top is sheer chiffon.
These shorts are actually from last year, but these are similar! I wear them a ton, but of course, the downfall of linen is that they wrinkle!
Puff Sleeve Linen Top
This top I grabbed in the store on a whim, and it’s not my typical style, but it is very on-trend for the season! It’s super sexy with the off-the shoulder look, slightly cropped, and button up front. The linen is great for end-of summer because it’s light and comfortable!
Shorts are the same as the Mom Denim Shorts above!
