Fashion X Dallas Night 1

It has been an absolutely insane weekend, in the best way possible. Nataly and I were so happy to attend all three nights of Fashion X Dallas. We had an amazing time! While it’s not New York Fashion Week, it was my first experience attending a Fashion Show that I didn’t have to work at! I’ve produced shows, modeled in them, volunteered backstage, but never just attended. While technically I was still working, I had so much fun! Fashion X Dallas night 1 was full of some of my favorite pieces and collections. There were 9 shows made up of Project Runway winners and All Stars, several mini capsule collections of brand new designers, a collection of styled looks from local Style Setters’ closets, and even more local designers. Some of my favorite collections were Michelle Lesniak, Chloe Dao, Daniel Esquivel, and Abi Ferrin, see my photos below. Before the shows started there were showrooms full of local jewelry, accessories, and clothing from local artists and designers. Cadillac, the largest sponsor was all over, with their newest models out front, Chloe wine was keeping everyone well boozed by handing out glasses of wine, Luna bars were there handing out the inly food in the building, and CND was doing manicures with Vinylux. We arrived early to see what was going on before the show started, it was really great to walk around and get to know more local designers!

When the show began, I was most excited to see the Project Runway designers, since they were people and styles I recognized, however I was really pleased with the capsule collections because they ended up being some of the most creative pieces, but probably the least wearable in certain cases. There were a few very wearable collections that were, in my opinion great pieces, and things that I could see a lot of people wearing, but not super exciting for the runway. Fashion X Dallas night 1, Daniel Esquivel stole the show with the most cohesive collection, most interesting, and the most wearable. I am obsessed with the red cape/jacket (pictured below) and am waiting for the call that it is available for purchase, because yes, I gave him my card to please let me know when and where I can get one!

My outfit for Fashion X Dallas night 1 was this great off the shoulder top with suede shorts and these amazing over the knee boots. I love the shorts and boots look for a night out in the Fall! Get the details here:
