Happy Friday, and Happy Flag Day! It’s the end of such a busy week full of events, shows, and friends. I absolutely LOVE weeks like this, but it’s also tough to get things done when you’re constantly running around. It’s also extremely exhausting for someone like me. As an introvert, it takes a lot of energy for me to be in such stimulating situations. I love it, but when I’m home I’m out!
Since it’s Friday and I’m done seeing people for the week (kidding, kind of), I’ll be at the pool, so my Friday Favorites are revolving around the events of this week and my weekend to come!

Pool Floats
Giant fun pool floats took over pools and lakes a couple years ago and now we’re taking it to an extreme. But I’m all about it. When Kale and I first started Dating, and it was my first full summer here in Dallas, both he and my best friend gifted me with inflatable donuts. Yes, innertubes that looked like donuts! I was ecstatic, and still use them to this day. (Well the one we didn’t leave in an uber after a tipsy lake day.)
They were actually much more difficult to find back then and sometimes cost upwards of $50 which is a bit much. However, they’re more mainstream and are actually made for adults now, so places like Target has them for around $20. The perfect price to pay for a fun summer at the pool.
I’ve linked some of my personal favorite options below!
Cirque du Soleil: Crystal
Last night Kale and I went to see the latest Cirque du Soleil: Crystal, the latest to travel through DFW. I’m always enamored with the Cirque du Soleil shows, and this one was no different- Except it was! This show, unlike any I’d seen before, was on ICE!
Taking place at the Comerica Center in Frisco, TX, this Cirque du Soleil show featured not only amazing acrobats and aerialists, but they were also on ice skates and clearly accomplished figure skaters. I couldn’t even imagine what that job description must look like: Must be able to juggle up to 10 balls, stand on various objects at least 50 ft in the air, and be a high level figure skater. I mean, come on these people are massively talented!
The pure athleticism it takes to do some (all) of the tricks, turns, flips, (I have no idea what they’re called) acrobatic activities, is amazing, and part of the reason I think Kale enjoys the shows so much. They are literally for everyone of all ages! After seeing our first Cirque du Soleil together in Riveria Maya, he was hooked!

Pixi by Petra DetoxifEYE Depuffing eye patches
I’ve had these eye depuffing patches for a while, and like every other beauty product I don’t immediately try, it was set in a pile and got buried. However, I recently rediscovered them and ohmygosh I can’t believe I haven’t been using them all this time! They are thin little gel patches that you put on below your eyes to help with depuffing. Which is something I can use on the daily when I don’t get enough sleep, don’t get good enough sleep, or when I do sleep but still had to get out of bed.
I just put them on after I wash my face while I find something to wear and boom. Instant eye lift. They’re like cucumbers at the spa (Has anyone actually had cucumbers on their eyes at a spa?) but you can walk around and get s*** done while you wear them. Try them, you’ll thank me.
Loving your picks and this post!
