Friday Favorites: 6.21.19

Cute 4th of July outfits featured by top US fashion blog, Running in Heels: image of a woman wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch skort romper, Converse low top sneakers, DIFF Aviator sunglasses, Target red bandana scarf, and BAUBLEBAR bracelet set.

When I started these Friday Favorites I had no idea how difficult it is to come up with a few “favorites” each week. It’s tough to try so many products, clothes, events, etc. However, I had brunch with a friend on Monday and she suggested I do categories each week to make choosing favorites easier, and it’s certainly helped!

This week I was focusing on a hair video and prepping for the Fourth of July, so in that spirit, this week’s favorites follow those lines as well!

Fourth of July Goods

I’m loving all things red, white, and blue right now for the Fourth of July. I just finished compiling my Fourth of July inspiration post, and cannot wait to share all of the goodies. Before I share the whole post, I had to share a few things here that didn’t make it in, including these llama socks which I ordered online to pick up the second-to-last pair in store, and this spirit jersey, which is perfect for Fireworks because it will protect me from all of the mosquitos.

Drybar 3 Day Bender with 1in Barrel

I’ve been wanting a new curling iron for quite a while, so I was thrilled when I finally got this one from Drybar in the mail! I used it almost immediately and was ecstatic about it. My old curling Iron got way too hot and when I was done, my hair always smelled burnt. Granted, it stayed forever, it wasn’t worth the damage.

This curling iron has different temperature levels, up to 440 degrees, a rotating clamp, and Iconic Technology that helps seal in the cuticle for less frizz and healthier curls.

The Boho Market at The Hill

One weekend a month, The Hill hosts The Boho Market with more than 30 vendors who make homemade and vintage goods! In addition, there’s a traditional Farmer’s Market this week where local vendors are selling packaged goods. This Saturday it’s open from 9am to 3pm. Stop by to enjoy it!

The Prettiest Eyelet Top

For some reason, in the summertime, my closet seems like it shrinks. I can never seem to find anything between casual and sundress. In the winter, you can upgrade your outfit with a simple change of a top from a tee to a blouse or a sweater to a jacket. There isn’t a good equivalent for the summer because shorts are always casual. Skirts aren’t my favorite because pairing them with tops is close to impossible. Of course, camis are always an option, but get boring or don’t seem completely appropriate. That’s why I was so happy to find this cute eyelet top! It’s adorable and great to pair with skirts, shorts, and plenty of other options. Now, if only I could have 30 of them.
