Football season is here again and I’m ready to cheer my team all the way to a 7th Super Bowl ring! There are two typical looks I think of for game day style. 1) A casual tee and jeans/shorts, or 2) a dress in your team’s colors, SEC style. The former is my go-to at home look, but if I go out to watch a game, I like to dress up a little more. I’m all for a little black dress (yellow is not my color), but I have tons of Steelers tees and a jersey that I wanted to put to better use than lounge clothes. So I put together this for inspiration to dress up your game day style!
Growing up, I used to watch the Steelers games with my family at home. I think I’ve only missed one Super Bowl ever, and although I don’t remember exactly why, I was very disappointed. Now, I watch the Steelers games when they’re on in Dallas (they aren’t a local team anymore, so I don’t get to see all of them) by going to a bar or hanging out at home with Kale. Let’s just say, I have a lot of years dressing for game day!
No matter who your team is, it’s only natural to want to show your support (unless you’re a Browns fan… kidding). For this look I pulled out my Ben Rothlesberger jersey which I’ve had for probably 12 years, and paired it with my Spanx faux-leather leggings and heeled sandals.
