When Life Gives You Lemons

I haven’t been handed too many lemons lately, but I do like a good reminder that you can turn something around if you want to! I grabbed this tee while I was shopping the Memorial Day sales- which was so much fun! I am rarely in a shopping mood, so I was in rare form that day hopping from store to store! This lemons top is a part of my current favorite travel outfit, and I have been travleing a lot lately! Today, I’ll be exploring New York City, my first real trip back since my high school graduation. I did take a couple short trips to NYC while I was a Victoria’s Secret Intern for two summers in college, to visit the Victoria’s Secret Direct HQ!

I am SO excited, New York is always my dream place to visit. All through college it was my goal to live there, and work in the fashion industry, but somehow, really by accident, I ended up in Dallas. Overall, it turned out pretty good! I’m actually over living in the city, but I love to visit. NYC is still an incredibly magical place! Even though as I’m writing this we have a 60% chance of rain everyday, we intend to make lemonade out of our rainy lemons!

On Tuesday, I went to the rewardStyle HQ for a fun event. We learned to draw flowers from Alli K Design who was amazing. She’s responsible for the LiketoKnow.it He(art) wall in Dallas!
