Boutique Hotels are popping up all over the place, but NYC might just take the cake with the sheer number of them. I should know, I did thorough research while looking for a place to stay!
I’m back after a short break to travel last week! I can’t wait to tell you all about my trip to NYC! This week I’ve got a lot of events to tell you about that are coming up!
Think Disney World is just for kids? Definitely not! I’ve been to Walt Disney World quite a few times in my life, and at all different ages.
Last week I was given the opportunity to do a little staycation with some blogger friends at a new Dallas boutique hotel called Chijmes (pronounced chimes, as in wind chimes). I went in expecting a quiet night, movie, and early bedtime, but I left with so much more appreciation for boutique hotels, my own travel experiences, and a full and happy heart.
A few weeks ago my sister and I traveled to NYC for a girls weekend. We were determined to make it different than our other trips where we were just running around like crazy the entire time! By this trip, we had been to NYC a few times and had checked many of the big landmarks off of the list, such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, Times Square, The Met, The High Line etc. This time we had a different list of sights to see and neighborhoods to wander. So if you’re looking for things to do in NYC in the summer if you’ve already been there and seen the major sights.
I’ve heard the best food in the world is in NYC, and how could it not be? There is food everywhere you turn, the odds are definitely in their favor. The challenge is filtering through the mediocre and finding the great ones. I’ve been to NYC a few times now, and hop I can filter through at least some of those for you and help you find where to eat in NYC!
Dallas has many different neighborhoods each one more different from the last. One known for the strange mix of street art, it’s grungy look, craft cocktails and brunch spots with a downtown view, is Deep Ellum.
I recently visited Nashville for a Bachelorette Party and ended up staying a few days to explore. I really enjoyed my time in the city! While there are a lot of great places in Nashville, this Nashville City Guide will outline where to stay, what to do, and where to eat based on my experiences. I’d love to hear your recommendations in the comments, too!

Last month Kale and I met my parents in San Antonio. We drove down on a Friday and had the best weekend in the little city. I loved the historic look and feel. It’s so nice to see the preserved character and history of it all! Keep reading to see how to spend a weekend in San Antonio like we did!
I love a fun road trip. You go cool places, see fun things along the way, avoid airport craziness, and there is always snacks, shopping, and plenty of stops along the way. They are even better when you have an awesome car to drive! I borrowed a Toyota Highlander for my most recent Texas road trip where Kale and I traveled in the Toyota Highlander from Dallas to San Antonio.
After a heartbreaking Steelers loss in the playoffs this Sunday, I figured it was a great time to post about one of my favorite cities, Pittsburgh! Over the holidays, I went home to Ohio and my flight was through Pittsburgh. Before I left, my family drove up to the city and spent the day in Pittsburgh.
