Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale Favorites

It’s time to shop! The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is on now! I’m sharing my favorite pieces below. I almost exclusively shop Lilly Pulitzer during the After Party Sale. I love the brand, but the prints are not completely in my comfort zone, so I’m not 100% willing to drop a few hundred dollars on a dress I’ll wear only a few times. The one exception to this is the ‘Alpaca My Bags’ print popover I purchased in the winter of this year. It made it into the sale and my order was cancelled (I’m sure because they realized the mistake), and I just couldn’t let it go. Once I saw the print I was obsessed! SO, brb while I buy any and all things in the ‘Alpaca My Bags’ print since they are a part of the current sale.

I always thought of Lilly Pulitzer as a beach-y brand that should only be worn on the beach. But over the last few months I’ve challenged myself to wear it more and more and find a way to fit the pretty pieces into my life in Dallas so I get more wear out of them. I’ve gotten the most wear out of my popover and sheath dress. I’ve worn my shorts a couple of times to dinners and my scallop hem skort shopping and to brunch.

If you’re only going to buy one thing…

If you’re going to purchase only one item from Lilly Pulitzer, I highly recommend getting a shift dress in a print. It is the most recognizable iconic piece from the brand, and easiest to work into your wardrobe. Why? You don’t have to match it with anything! Lilly Pulitzer prints are beautiful but best paired with simple complimenting pieces. I wore my sheath dress to a Cinco de Derby party, golf tournament, engagement party, and a few dinners this year.

It’s definitely something I consider to be an investment piece that you can wear year after year. While there are slight changes to the styles and new prints every season, in general, Lilly Pulitzer does not go out of style. Shop m favorites below and don’t forget to check out the fun accessories!

Sizing

For reference, I wear an XS in tops (my popover). A 00 or XXS in dresses (fitted), and I do 00 in bottoms. I only have flip-flops in terms of shoes and they run true to size (TTS). Overall sizing is pretty TTS with the norm. Bottoms run a little large in the waist for me still. But everything else fits well.
