Happy Monday! I’ve decided to embrace Mondays, because they come along no matter what, why not make the best of them? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My boyfriend and I had a lazy Saturday complete with Margaritas (did you see them on Snapchat? Follow me –> kasey_lynn18), a cookout, and a movie date! No for Monday I’m back to work and I have to talk about something. It’s Summer, it’s 100+ degrees in Dallas, and I struggle between looking nice, season appropriate, and staying warm in the office. Enter midi skirts and dresses.
Midi skirts and dresses are, in my opinion one of the best options for the office in the Summer! They are perfectly appropriate, able to be worn casually, or dressed up, and matched with tees, jackets, or crop tops! You can find many options that are perfect for summer, and some that take you right into the fall! But why are they perfect for work? Well, first, because midi skirts and dresses are nicer than jeans, and even though I can wear them, I like to dress up sometimes. Second, they cover my legs! I am always freezing and I keep a giant wool grandma sweater at my desk, but my legs are always frozen when I wear shorter dresses of skirts, so this one worked out perfectly.
My skirt in these photos is actually a dress! (Another reason I love dresses so much. They work double duty!) I’m partial to dresses usually, and this length is no exception! It is an older piece I’ve had for a while, but I get so many compliments when I wear it, I can’t part with it! I have linked some of my favorite options for midi skirts and dresses below!
