Happy Monday everyone! This past week and weekend was absolutely crazy! I was working Dallas Market at the World Trade Center and it flew by. I’m not used to working like that! Standing for ten hours a day was a complete shock to my body, generally sitting at a desk all day. With a massage from my wonderful boyfriend and some yoga stretches I was back to normal. Now I am laying on the couch with my wine trying to figure out a new workout plan to follow for the next few months before I decide on the next race to start training for. (Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York, so many options!) I have been doing a lot of research on programs and here are my options:
Workout Plan 1: Kayla Itsines BBG
I am very tempted to try Kayla Itsines BBG program.
PROS: I know a few people who have loved it, and I really like that it comes with step by step guides and you can get her meal plan. The HIIT workouts are 28 minutes which means really easy to fit in. Plus, there is a whole community of BBGGirls!
CONS: I’m not the best at following workout plans to a T because, well, life gets in the way. Also, it is expensive and I really want to make sure I’ll follow the plan before I buy it. Plus it is 6 months all together and ideally I’ll start training for a marathon again before then.
Workout Plan 2: POPSUGAR Bikini Body Workout
PROS: It has a month long day by day schedule that I can follow. You click on a day and it shows you pictures and a description for every move.
CONS: No meal plan. (Though, not necessarily a deal breaker, I can probably figure this part out.) Also it’s not very gym friendly. I’ll need my computer or phone to look off of for each move. Two dogs get in the way when I try to workout in my living room.
Workout Plan 3: Pinterest
OK, this is less of a plan and more of a hodge-podge of workout routines.
PROS: I can work them in as I see fit. I can search for exactly what I want to focus on that day.
CONS: I can’t determine what will work or not, or what sites are reputable. I figure if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
What is your favorite place to find new workouts? Do you have any recommendations? Let me know in the comments! Check back next week to see which one I choose!
