Happy Monday everyone! This past week and weekend was absolutely crazy! I was working Dallas Market at the World Trade Center and it flew by. I’m not used to working like that! Standing for ten hours a day was a complete shock to my body, generally sitting at a desk all day. With a massage from my wonderful boyfriend and some yoga stretches I was back to normal. Now I am laying on the couch with my wine trying to figure out a new workout plan to follow for the next few months before I decide on the next race to start training for. (Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York, so many options!) I have been doing a lot of research on programs and here are my options:
Hi friends! It’s Friday (friyay) and I am so happy it’s almost the weekend, I have had a crazy and exciting week and I can’t wait to share my news with you all! At the end of a long week I like to dress in a cozy outfit like these joggers and leather jacket to run errands and get some work done, but still look cute. The key is to not look frumpy or like you rolled out of be in the process. Usually on lazy weekends or days when I work from home, putting an outfit together and doing my hair and make-up makes me feel better and more productive. It is usually necessary when I want to get things done! Do any of you feel that way? Let me know in the comments!
Hi Friends! Today’s post is a story that I have been dying to share with you but it’s taken me some time to figure out how I wanted to talk about the subject. So here it goes: I love a good bag. There’s fewer things more exciting than making a new bag purchase. You pick it out carry it around the store for a while and finally after much deliberating whether the cost is worth it, you make the purchase. You get a beautiful dust cover and that amazing new bag smell.
We all have that LBD (little black dress) that we love. (I have a few actually.) It’s the perfect go to for almost any occasion. I think my favorite part about them is that you can accessorize and you have so many options. Colors, prints, jackets, sweaters, hats, heels, flats, the list is endless. Of course I stuck with my usual color palette and kept it neutral, but this zip up sweatshirt is a really cool texture and print. It’s a unique piece that I can’t wear with much, so I love that it goes so well with my LBD!
Happy Monday! Today I’m talking about my fun new gadget, the Garmin Forerunner. I got it in February for my birthday, but wanted to use it and really see how I liked it before posting about it, but let me tell you, it’s awesome. It’s one-thousand times better than using my giant iPhone that ran the entire length of my bicep. It usually slipped around because I could never get it comfortably tight enough to stay. Now, I use my watch and my little iPod shuffle and run in populated areas. Side note: Safety is definitely important when running alone, so if I do choose to run at a weird time and/or without my dogs I do usually bring my phone.
It has been 16 years since we met and immediately became best friends. Separated most of the time, but always made up for it together. Different high schools, different colleges, and now different states. We’ve spent so much time apart, but somehow I think that kept us together. We never waste the time we have together and never take it for granted.
