The Latest in Haircare: Pantene Charcoal Collection

Charcoal has been taking the beauty industry by storm, and it has finally made its way into our haircare! The Pantene Charcoal Collection combines activated charcoal with their amazing formulas to create a brand new shampoo and conditioner duo. You know I love Pantene, (see other posts here) so I am really thrilled to be partnering with them to show you their new products!

Pantene has been my go-to shampoo at home for years. Since I’ve been shopping for myself I have gravitated towards the well-known brand. It’s easy to stick with what you know. In addition to using the brand while growing up, I had an amazing experience with Pantene’s team and their Beautiful Lengths event on my college campus. So when I heard about the new Charcoal Collection, I couldn’t help but tell you about it!

What is activated charcoal?

Activated charcoal is different than the charcoal used to cook burgers and roast marshmallows with because it’s more porous, meaning it has increased absorption powers. It is used to whiten teeth, for water/air purification and in medicines all while absorbing impurities.

In the Pantene Charcoal Collection, it acts like a magnet removing impurities from your hair and scalp, so your hair is cleaned it without being stripped of its nutrients.

I used to wash my hair every single day. I learned when I went to college that it wasn’t good for my hair, plus who has time for that? I trained my hair through trial and error and a lot of dry shampoo, so now I can go a few days without looking super greasy. It definitely takes time, but the right products help a ton!

The Pantene Charcoal Collection is the perfect hair regime to use between washes, and it would be great to help train your hair! There is such a tough balance between washing our hair too much and washing it too little. I try not to use too many products, or heat, but it’s unavoidable at times. The heat dries my hair out causing it to fall flat. Then, to boost it up, I have use products which cause so much build up! It’s a vicious cycle.

That’s why I love that the Pantene Charcoal Collection Shampoo and Conditioner cleans your hair and your scalp, clearing it of buildup and leaving it healthy and re-energized. I have a lot of hair, which gets really heavy at times, especially when I don’t wash it for a while. My pony tail ends up weighing me down, even sometimes giving me a headache! Talk about girl problems.

The Pantene Charcoal Collection makes my hair feel lighter with more volume! The results last a couple days without washing, so I don’t need to use dry shampoo. Therefore I’m not adding to the dirt and build up, and my hair feels cleaner and more healthy.
