There are so many things to think about when traveling on a plane, I always make a list before I leave, so I thought it would also help you! This post will focus on thing you’ll need while actually traveling.
What to Wear on a Plane
When flying, I like to be comfortable, but not look like a slob. I usually opt for jeans, even sometimes in the summer. Planes can get cold and you hae no idea who sat there before you. Plus I live in jeans, and when you have a good pair, you can wear them all the time! As for a top I wear a comfy tee and bring an easy cardigan that can fold up into my bag. Ideally this is the only one I’ll need for my whole trip.
Let’s Talk Bags
Carry on or Personal Item I’ve had my Longchamp bag for years, and as many totes I go through, my Longchamp is still my go-to bag for travel. It matches everything, can double as a purse, and fold up small enough to throw in your suitcase if need be. Additionally, it’s sturdy and doesn’t require much maintenace.
Suitcase: The other bag I count on is my iFly suitcase. My Dad got this for me after I moved to Texas to take back and forth, and it’s perfect because it’s carry on size and protects everything inside with the hard shell.
What to Bring on a Plane
Entertainment: I’ve always loved to read, so on family vacations I’d pack at least four books and carry them around everywhere like a pack mule. I’d also bring a notebook, pens, markers, or when I was in college, a sketch book and drawing pencils. I need to keep busy, so I come prepared! Don’t forget the headphones, like mine c/o Sudio Sweden, and if you have an iPhone 7, an adapter cord.

Hygeine: Hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and a toothbrush and toothpaste are among the top items I pack in my carry on. Even if my flight is only an hour or so I always feel gross! A hairbrush and some make up to touch up also help!
Extra: My mom always told me to pack an extra outfit in my carry on, a plus bra and underwear. If your suitcase should not make it when you do, it’s always nice to have a back up set! Don’t forget the sunnies, either! Ideally, you make it to somewhere sunny and warm, so you’ll need them!
