Pure Barre: Monday Motivation

Happy Monday! Last week I told you about a great event I was invited to with Bailey’s and Pure Barre. I have never taken a Pure Barre class before, but being a former ballerina, I was really curious about it. I was told it’s a mix of Pilates and other exercises using ballet principles… Well, I’m still not sure what it was, but it was a really great workout. We were moving the entire 50 minute class and working what felt like all of my muscles in my legs, arms and core. We started on the floor with abs, then stretched them out, then moved onto arms (with or without) weights. Then went to the bar where we worked on glutes and legs. I excelled more at the bar because my legs are way stronger than the rest of my body. However, it was a true full-body workout and at times I wasn’t completely sure that I was going to make it! Luckily I did, and hopefully managed to strengthen some muscles while I was there. It certainly felt like I did! I highly recommend trying Pure Barre for a great class and full body workout!
