Sephora Spring Bonus Sale

Sephora Spring Beauty Sale | Make-up | beauty haul | beauty picks | Running in Heels

This photo is of me when we first moved into our new apartment. That day Kale almost took a garbage bag and tossed at least half is not all of my beauty products because I just didn’t know what to do with all of them! Of course I didn’t let him and I expertly arranged it all neatly into my drawers (I claimed all of them). As you can see, I love my beauty products which is why I’m so excited to tell you all about my recommendations for the Sephora Spring Bonus Sale!

Sephora Spring Bonus Sale Details:

Rough + VIB status get 15% off of everything

Insiders get 10% off (just create an account and you’re in!

Aside from sales like this, you also gather points and discounts throughout the year on your purchases! You can get extra gifts on your birthday and when you reach certain thresholds! Somehow when I created my account I did it in-store and have no idea what email I gave them, so I can’t shop online because all of my points are on an ancient email that I can’t get into. BUT if you have a Sephora account online that’s the way to do it. There are so many online deals that aren’t available in store!

My Favorites

These are all products I’ve tried and tested. With make-up there is not one favorite, so I’m sharing them all and telling you why I love them!

Skin Care

Let’s start with Philosophy. I love their body wash and it comes in the best scents! They are a great size so you don’t have to buy them too often either. Their Purity face wash is great because it is really gentle on the skin, and the Hope in a Jar is the face cream of angels because it is the softest thing ever. Next up is L’Occitane, who I’ve never tried a product that I haven’t liked. I use the hand cream daily, and love the bath oils! Plus, the Sublime Skin Perfecting Cream rivals Hope in a Jar, I switch between those and the current face cream I’m using from Tula (not included in the sale but use code KASEY20 for 20% off!). Evian facial spray is perfect for a hot summer day. It’s refreshing without ruining your make up!

Face Make-Up

I use a few different foundations based on my mood, the weather, but mostly how much coverage I want for the day. For powder I only use BareMinerals Matte powder and have used it since I started using foundation. It’s great coverage and really light plus it has SPF 15! I don’t think you’ll ever get me to switch! I recently changed colors I was using to a more pink undertone from a yellow undertone and I love it even more. Since I love the powder so much, when they launched the new BarePro line I was quick to grab the liquid foundation as well. It really makes a difference when you use the right brush with it. I’ve found that the liquid has more coverage than the powder. To top it off I use the Mineral Veil setting powder when I’m done with my face to top it all off. I love BareMinerals because their quality is so consistent across all of their products which is really important to me.

Before I tried the BareMinerals liquid foundation I was using Laura Mercier which I got when Sephora matched me with their photo technology in the store. If you haven’t done this yet definitely try it out! I didn’t know anything about Laura Mercier at the time but I used this foundation for years and loved it! I actually think the color matches my skin better than the BareMinerals so I keep both in my make up drawer based on how much sun I get! I added my Gurlaine perfume here because I didn’t have another category for it. I had to tell you about it because I get so many compliments from men and women when I wear it! Lastly I added the Laura Mercier blush to this category because it is in the palette I got for Christmas and I’m loving it!

Eyes

Mascara + Eyeshadow

I have tons of pots of eyeshadow, but I usually go back to my palettes. My daily palette is the Urban Decay because I just love the colors. I got a Laura Mercier palette for christmas and I’m also loving those colors. The Urban Decay is a bit brighter and has more shimmer in it, and the Laura Mercier palette (different from the one shown) is a bit more matte. I feel like eyeshadow lasts forever, so I could go on about how many I’ve tried, but these are my favorites and I’ll stick with them. I included the Make Up For Ever Diamond Dust pot because I love this for a bit of fun and shimmer! I add it to the inside corners of my eyes and use it as highlighter (I have the peach color) for a night out!

Mascara is a tough one because I like tons of different brands for different reasons. I always go back to my YSL favorites though. The Faux Clis is a great everyday wear for a bit of fun. I always get that one in a color- I’ve tried burgundy, purple, and blue which brings a subtle touch of color to your eyes. For lengthening I stick with the YSL Babydoll, and for a little bit of drama I like the Benefit Roller Lash which is also the least expensive of the 3.

Eyeliner

My features are small so I try my best to stay away from black, I opt for grey, green, or purple (I have brown eyes) instead. I love the Urban Decay Glide-On for the colors and how smooth it goes on. I also tried the Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eyeliner which I really liked, but it only lasted about a month which is not long enough. I prefer pencils you sharpen because I think you get more for your money that way. However you definitely won’t get that super fine line that the Hourglass pencil gave me, which is why I still like it. I use the Tarte Fake Awake eyeliner for my under eye water line. It makes my eyes look larger and more open, especially in photos! I also added the Sephora Collection pencil because it’s an inexpensive option, comes in quite a few colors, and works great! I grab this one when I don’t want to spend the extra money. I also added the YSL gel pen which I haven’t used, but I do have a liquid eyeliner from YSL that I love to wear out at night for a harsher line.

Lips

At any given moment you can look in my purse and find at least six lip sticks and glosses of various textures and colors. I’ll grab a good color for the day and run out the door without exchanging the previous day’s color. If you’re looking for a gloss that is more like a stain grab the BareMinerals it glides on smoothly, has a matte finish and lasts all day! The Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet will also last all day. I love the rich colors and it also keeps your lips moisturized with out being super glossy. NARS is a classic gloss that I’ve had for a while. I have a darker color that goes well over a lipstick! The Sephora LIPSTORIES collection is super fun and only $8 each! The containers have little stories on them and are really fun to pull out in a group of people because everyone wants to know what they are. There are also awesome colors- I have a silver! The Dior lip plumper is another classic I’ve had for a long time. I actually just tossed my empty tube after carrying it around for months trying to scoop the last little bit out. It’s definitely a splurge brand, but totally worth it. Finally, as you can see I added a ton of Bite Beauty options because I have and love each one. The colors are great, the multi-sticks can also be used for bronzer/blush/eyes/etc, but the real winner is the Matte Creme Lip Crayon purely for the delivery device. It’s a brilliant way to make a lipstick and you get the perfect shape every time! I love the color “Glace”.

Hair

I get a ton of questions about my hair, but I don’t use a lot of Sephora brands on my hair. I dud find a few of my tools, though! I added all of my T3 micro tools here because they are the best hair tools I’ve ever used. I have both of the hair dryers below, but the new Cura Luxe dryer is amazing! I suggest grabbing the wand in the set Whirl Quartet because you have everything you’ll need! The 1.5in wand, 1in wand, the tapered, and reverse tapered which are the four sizes I use the most. I would also grab the 1.25in clip barrel because that is my daily for my loose curls!

Around The Web

These are products I’ve heard amazing things about around the web but haven’t had the chance to try out myself, so I don’t have much personal commentary. I’ve heard from family, friends and fellow bloggers that these are awesome so I’m putting my recommendations behind them as well. My sister swears my Kate Somerville products, and she and my mom both love Clinique!

For Him

My boyfriend, Kale uses these products, so I’m adding something for the guys here too! I got him an Art of Shaving kit for Christmas a couple of years ago and he said he loves it. I think his favorite part is the super soft brush!

Happy Shopping!
