I know, I know, I have been on a major dress kick lately! But seriously, can you resist a good fall sweater dress? I prefer them 10 times over skirts. I mean it’s one less piece you need to pick out, and you look more put together. I got this sweater dress at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this summer, and I have been dying to wear it! This is a pretty light sweater dress, so I don’t have to wait until it’s too cold, luckily. I love that it is a good dress for work. I willĀ be super comfy (because this is literally the most comfortable dress), warm, and it’s a great length! I was so worried about where it comes up in the front, but it hits right above myĀ knee, which is perfect. I’m not the tallest person, but I do have long legs which make skirts and dresses look shorter than they actually are.
For the last few years I haven’t really been into sweater dresses. They tended to remind me of when I was a childĀ wearing them with colorful leggings. This sweater dress, however, makes me feel like a grown up! I think my wardrobe is finally catching up to my life. It was a weird transition from college to adult life. I had to trade my back packĀ for an actual purse (Have you seen my newest bag?) and tube skirts for shift dresses. The rest of my wardrobe was just stuck in a casual-preppy non-style that really needed an update.
