The holiday season is full of traveling to see family and friends across the country. If you’re going to travel, might as well travel in style! As usual, my primary concern is comfort, so I opted for a lightweight sweater and my most comfortable jeans! The more important piece of your travel style is actually your luggage! If you’ve ever had a zipper break or a wheel fall off at the airport, you know exactly what I’m talking about!
Don’t Overpack
It may seem like a good idea to throw everything in your suitcase, but in my experience, when you over pack, you are more unorganized and end up packing things you don’t need and leaving things you do need. Get organized before you go, and at most bring extra undergarments! I like to lay out 1-2 outfits per day and know my itinerary before packing so I can be prepared for the trip’s activities.
Make Sure Your Luggage is Up to the Task
I usually try to avoid checking a bag whenever possible, and opt for the weekender to carry on, but in the winter I need to pack sweaters and heavier clothing, jackets, and sweaters which means the same amount of clothing takes up even more space. My Lipault luggage has been so amazing to travel with lately! I took this set to NYC for fashion week, and it was surprisingly easy to wheel around the streets of NYC. It is so large and spacious I even had extra room (and I packed way too much)! I opted for the large original plume spinner in forest green c/o Lipault. In the month of November you can get 20% off of you purchase with code “runninginheels”. The code is only valid on the Lipault website.
Stay Comfortable
Airports are full of surprises. Delayed flights and long days are bad enough, you don’t want to be uncomfortable all day long! I typically travel in jeans and always bring an extra sweater. I also recommend shoes that you can easily slip on and off while going through security. Any booties with a zipper should do the trick! My leopard booties are under $40!
Prep Your Carryon
Your carryon bag will make or break your trip. If you forget your headphones or your charger, you are in for a long day ahead. I love this back pack for short trips, it can fit just about everything I need- books, headphones and chargers. The one downside is that it isn’t large enough for my computer, which I do bring with me about everywhere. I’m pretty obsessed with the rose gold, I know that I travel in style when I carry it! Plus, the backpack is so easy to carry through the airport, especially when you have a spinner to manage. P.S. it’s on sale!

Great tips here girl! Hope you enjoy your trip back home for the holidays!
Love these reminders! I’m always one to try stuffing far too much into my carry on and it makes it a little more complicated to feel stylish and chic while traveling!
