It’s officially Spring and do you know what that means? It’s the season of my favorite coat: The Trench Coat!

I love lightweight and breezy looks this time of year. I used to not love lace for spring because it seemed old or too fancy for every day. Now, though I am loving the crochet lace on these tops! They are so perfect for a spring brunch! If you haven’t noticed, I have my mind on patios and brunching in this gorgeous weather, so naturally, the outfits that I would wear to these occasions are not far behind.
With Valentine’s Day looming and dates to be planned, I thought I’d share some of my favorite recent outfits that could all be worn for A Valentine’s Day date!
Eyelet white dresses are my favorite for spring! White can go terribly wrong if not done correctly, so I’m very careful about which ones I choose! This midi dress popped up while I was hunting for spring styles on ASOS, and I couldn’t let it pass by without adding it to my cart! I grabbed an XS and it fits like a glove!
Before I talk about my red trench coat, I want to talk about my day job when I’m “in the trenches” as a Social Media Manager! I laugh when I have to explain my job to people, because I do literally sit on Instagram all day. It sounds like a pretty good deal, which it definitely is, but there’s more to it than scrolling my favorite bloggers! I recently started a new job, so my day to day is still changing.
Does anyone else feel overwhelmed with holiday craziness? I have been traveling, running to parties, and shopping like a madwoman before Christmas! I went crazy Cyber Week shopping but I haven’t even been able to shoot my looks yet! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen these 3 looks below. They are some of my favorite winter styles for a few reasons, but I’m not the only one because they are selling out so fast!
Tis the season for last minute shopping and wandering around the mall aimlessly. Yea, that doesn’t sound fun for me either. I get as much of my Christmas shopping done before hand as much as I can. While you’ve still got a few weeks, the malls are nuts, and if you’re like me, you’ll avoid them as much as possible! If you aren’t done shopping yet, and you still need a few ideas, I gathered a few stocking stuffers for her in my beauty gift guide below! Just a small disclaimer, I never recommend products that I haven’t tried or are willing to/going to try, so everything listed below is personally recommended by me!
It’s a rare day when I’m not wearing jeans, but I found the most comfortable wide leg pants and had to share them! These wide leg teal pants are so soft! The high waist was extremely flattering, and do we even need to talk about the color? This teal is so similar to jeans, that I would almost consider this a neutral. I paired them with a black top and shoes, so overall this is a pretty simple outfit, but I feel anything but simple wearing it.
It is so important to add extra ruffles to your wardrobe this fall, if you want to be on trend. Normally this ruffle top would be a little exaggerated for me. However, in the spirit of stepping out of my comfort zone, like at fashion week, I’m embracing the extra ruffles!
It feels like New York Fashion Week was so much more than four days, but this last day, NYFW SS18 Day 4, was one of my favorites! It started with Francesca Liberatore at Skylight Clarkson. I loved it, and hated it. There were a few prairie chic pieces the collection could lose, but there were some stunning pieces, like the black and gold gowns! Next up, was Dan Liu at The Galleries at The Dream. I was amazed by the finale piece! All of the models wore peacock feathers as eyebrows which livened up the otherwise simple looks. I took a break after that show to head back, pack up a bit, and change.
It was so incredible to see the fall trends from NYFW SS18 street style in person, and even create some looks of my own!
I like to keep a little color in my wardrobe! This colored tassel dress is the perfect option for running around town, or even the pool!
